Astrak Group strengthens global presence with acquisition of TKV Australia

Astrak Group, a global supplier of construction equipment parts, has announced the acquisition of TKV, one of Australia’s leading specialist suppliers of pads, tracks, and undercarriage solutions for construction and agricultural equipment.

This strategic acquisition represents a significant milestone in Astrak Group’s global growth strategy, extending its existing presence across Australasia and reinforcing its position as an international leader in the equipment parts sector. By adding TKV to its portfolio, Astrak builds on the earlier successful acquisition of West-Trak in New Zealand in February 2025, creating a powerful regional network that delivers world-class products and services to customers throughout Australia and New Zealand.

TKV has established a strong reputation in Australia as a trusted partner for industries including construction, agriculture, mining, and forestry. The TKV brand is known for its technical expertise, high-quality parts, and ability to deliver rapid service across the country.

“We are delighted to welcome TKV into the Astrak Group,” said Richard Paterson, CEO of Astrak Group. “This acquisition is a natural fit for both businesses, combining TKV’s strong local presence and industry knowledge with Astrak’s global resources, logistics network, and digital capabilities. Together, we will deliver even greater value to customers across Australasia, ensuring they benefit from our combined expertise and commitment to service excellence.”

As part of the acquisition, Truan Bailey, current Managing Director at West-Trak, will assume the role of Managing Director of Australasia for Astrak, overseeing operations in both Australia and New Zealand.

“This is an exciting step for Astrak in Australasia,” said Bailey. “TKV has built an outstanding reputation in Australia, and by combining their local expertise with Astrak’s global resources, we can deliver even greater value to customers.”

This acquisition is a key component of Astrak Group’s broader strategy under the ‘Powered by Astrak’ brand to expand into high-growth markets and enhance its customer-first approach to global distribution and sales optimisation. Clients will begin to experience the benefits of this integration throughout 2026, including improved service levels, logistics efficiencies, and an expanded product range.

With this latest expansion, Astrak now employs more than 250 people globally, creating a powerful team dedicated to supporting construction and agricultural equipment operators worldwide.
