Our story
Growing up, we loved all things mechanical, and this was often a topic of conversation around the kitchen table. Our Dad was a building contractor who loved his work and got a real kick out of completing jobs to the highest standard.
We often think back to those conversations – and the recurring frustration Dad had with equipment that let him down at the worst possible moment, breaking down and costing him precious time and money. He’d felt first-hand what it was like to have your success impeded by factors outside your control, and it really embedded the importance of being able to trust the parts and equipment you were using on the job.
That frustration became a purpose. Sitting around that same kitchen table in 2004, we founded TKV – built on a simple belief that contractors deserve parts and service they can actually rely on. Many of our customers will remember us as Tuff Stuff Australia, but in 2019 we outgrew that name and came back to where it all started. TKV was born again, and we’ve spent every day since supplying quality tracks, undercarriage parts and service to keep contractors moving across Australia.
in December 2025, TKV was acquired by Astrak.
Headquartered in the UK, Astrak is a global supplier of undercarriage and wear parts for heavy machinery, with warehouses in over 20 countries, and a customer base spanning more than 50.
TKV is now Powered By Astrak, that means our customers get the same team and service they’ve always known, now with the supply chain, investment and global back of one of the world’s leading heavy machinery parts businesses behind every order.
More stock Australia-wide. A larger, global team with broader expertise and product knowledge. Powerful logistics and warehousing from coast to coast. And the speed TKV has always been known for — answering the phone, turning around quotes, and getting parts on the road — is only going to get better.
